10 Peppermint Essential Oil Blends March 28 2016

Peppermint essential oil has many uses. This oil has been used by many ancient cultures, no doubt because of its extremely useful health-promoting properties. It is an excellent digestive, it helps the respiratory system and circulation, it is an anti-inflammatory, and an antiseptic. These qualities make it a good oil to help with the treatment of indigestions, flatulence, bad breath, flue, varicose veins, headaches and migraines, skin irritations, toothaches and fatigue.

Here are 10 peppermint essential oil blends that you can make yourself.

1.  Back Pain
10 drops of peppermint oil
10 drops of rosemary oil
10 drops of basil
Dilute in 2 tbsp of vegetable oil and massage into back

 

2. Constipation
15 drops of rosemary oil
10 drops of lemon oil
5 drops of peppermint oil
Dilute in 2 tbsp of vegetable oil and massage in a clockwise direction over the lower abdomen three times a day.

 

3.  Headache
3 drops of lavender oil
1 drop of peppermint oil
Blend with 1 drop of vegetable oil. Massage around the temple and base of the skull.


4. Mouth Ulcers
2 drops of peppermint oil
4 drops of lemon oil
2 drops of geranium oil
2 drops of thyme oil
Add 1 tsp of mixture to a glass of warm water. Swish well around the mouth but do now swallow.

 

5.  Sinusitis
5 drops of rosemary oil
5 drops of geranium oil
2 drops of eucalyptus oil
3 drops of peppermint oil
Blend 5 drops of mixture per tsp of vegetable oil. Massage around the neck, behind and in front of the ears, over the cheekbone, the nose and forehead.


6. Jet lag
2 drops of peppermint oil
2 drops of eucalyptus oil
Put in bath in the morning or on a wet facecloth and rub over your body after shower.


7. Over-exercised Muscles
5 drops of eucalyptus oil
5 drops of peppermint oil
5 drops of ginger oil
Dilute in 1 tbsp of vegetable oil and massage.


8. Footcare for walkers, joggers and runners
5 drops of rosemary oil
3 drops of peppermint oil
4 drops of lavender oil
Blend together and se 5 drops to 1 tsp of vegetable oil per massage,


9. Tendonitis
10 drops of rosemary oil
10 drops of lavender oil
10 drops of peppermint oil
Dilute in 2 tbsps of vegetable oil. Massage into pained area.


10. Gingivitis
3 drops of thyme oil
2 drops of eucalyptus oil
3 drops of chamomile oil
3 drops of peppermint oil
Add 1 tsp of blend to a glass of war water. Swiss well around the mouth. Do not swallow.
